Continue into Mae Sai for a stop at the bridge to Burma and shopping. Continue to the Golden Triangle overlooking the Mekong River to Chiang Saen for a visit to the 14th century ruins. Then return to Chiang Rai by sunset. The exact timing of the itineray may vary due to local conditions and lunch is taken at a restaurant en route.
